We started Rain or Shine Finds as a way to celebrate local designers and companies and I can’t think of a better company for us to highlight than Munchkin Designs. Based out of Portland, Munchkin Designs offers “hip invitations + fabulous gifts” and so much more! This mom owned business started out making birth announcements and party invites and has grown to include custom artwork, frames, photo albums and children’s tees.

Do you even wonder “what happened to the good old wholesome cartoons and role models for kids?” Some of the images that are “kid friendly” these days I find pretty inappropriate. Wilde Fig

Since becoming a mom, I have had the eye-opening experience to the wide world of baby accessories. If you have a daughter, there is a chance you know what I’m talking about! A large percentage of the stuff out there is a joke though.

Wilde Fig is a breath of fresh air from Portland, Oregon. This team of moms handmaking all of their products and packaging them in a very eco-responsible way.

I was sent a headband to review and was pleasantly surprised that my daughter kept it on her head. Usually when I put a headband on her she’ll rip it off violently or if I leave it on too long she will get elastic impressions on her head from the band being too tight. Neither of these incidents happened with the Wilde Fig headband. I love the modern and minimalistic design and the fabric is durable, yet very soft.

Not to worry if you have boys! There are a number of products, yes, all handmade, to choose from. There are bibs, binky clips, blankets, coffee wraps, changing pad sets, crayon rolls, diaper clutches, burp cloths, tooth fairy pillows, mitt identifiers and several gift sets for babies, kids and moms. If only I had known about Go Belly Go last year! This is the must have item for all mommies-to-be.
